The Abel School was opened in 1938, and ever since then has remained the premier equestrian boarding school on the East Coast. At Abel, everyone is first treated as an equestrian, and secondly as a student.

Students love the equestrian facility, along with what it offers them. Elite project horses are assigned to meet each rider's individual preferences, and any discipline can be ridden at TAS. Not only is Abel proud of it's wide diversity of equestrian athletes, but also of the talent and diversity of our students, who come from all over the world!

we've learned to run
from anything uncomfortable

NOAH `

Today, calm had settled over two souls. With a large, sweeping stride, a painted gelding trotted throughout the trail; and, aboard his back, a teenage boy rose out of and fell into his mahogany saddle accordingly. Noah Stone's expression was rather blank, but also sparkled with that of peacefulness. Aboard his large beast of a horse, he had found an outlet for his stress: one that did not need to be smoked, inhaled, or drank. Beneath him, the muscular Paint Horse was also at ease, completely entrusting his rider for his well-being. Noah was extremely pleased with the horse's current state, even if he was holding his head a bit too high. Screw it, Noah had thought to himself, he's happy, and finally displaying the fact that he isn't a completely done for, and mentally insane, cause. The boy sat down, applying a small amount of new pressure onto Jack's bit, and cooing softly for a downward transition.

The trail soon opened up into a green meadow, scattered with white and gold flowers and a large, vine-coated tree in the far distance. The land lay very flat before them. Raising his free hand, Noah wiped the front of his arm across his sweat-speckled forehead, removing the glistening moisture and momentarily cooling himself down. Beneath his clothing, the boy's body temperature was warm, nearly to the extent of being uncomfortable. His dark straight legged jeans were uncomfortable against his muscular legs, and for some time now, he had been able to feel sweat accumulating in regions that sweat should never be. The duo had been on the trails for nearly three hours now, and Noah had very little sense as of where the hell they were. Taking a deep breath of fresh air in as a soft breeze swept across his face, Noah set Jack's reins down on his neck and began to undo the long row of buttons of his ivory shirt. Another gust of wind rushed against him, and this time hit the bare skin of his chest. Unwillingness for the sun to burn his sensitive, European skin restrained Noah from removing his shirt all-together, and he settled for the relief that unbuttoning it brought. Leaning forward, Noah rested the back of his hand against his horse's broad neck, feeling the excessive warmth there, too. On Noah's cue, the two began towards the distant tree, in the need to obtain some shade.

If I strum chords would you sing a song with me
If I left town would you leave along with me
We could fly away to outerspace
We could get away form this place

Oh no, Valkyrie was fine as she let Quincy trot easily through the woods. His trot was springy, but not bouncy, smooth, but not like those little trekking ponies. She sat it easily, leaning froward up the small slope and patting his neck while she was at it. The gelding snorted and shook his black mane, slowing to a walk.

She looked up, seeing a boy un-button his shirt. The sun was hitting down harshly-even in Fall, and she was bored to death. She clicked her tongue, rolling her eyes as they saw a trail with an open meadow and a few logs. Quincy seemed to read her mind and started to trot again, snorting as he bucked playfully and umped into an active canter, listening to Valkyrie as she waited for the right pot before leaning forward while he jumped over it easily, landing steadily and turning as she slowed him, letting him rest.

It was mid-day, and already she felt like turning around, almost forgetting she was bareback, and resting her back on his neck. Knowing he was young and that wasn't so good, she resisted the strong temptation. She let him walk and headed towards a big apple tree for shade, water, a cookie, and probably an apple. He walked eagerly towards the tree, pausing underneath a large and juicy apple. They passed the boy and she twisted around to smile a dazzling smile for only a brief second, then he face was thoughtful again.

NOAH `

Noah sighed as they halted beneath the tree, which they had finally reached after what seemed like an eternity in the sun. He refused the admit to the fact that he was a bit out of shape, especially for this hot, humid weather. Noah glanced down at his exposed stomach, happy to see that the defined lines of his ab muscles remained. Never a fat bloke, Noah thought to himself, but this goddamn heat sure does set anyone who isn't used to it back.

Just then, Noah looked up, realizing rather suddenly that he was no longer alone. No, for in front of him, a girl with electric pink hair, sitting atop a large horse, strode past him, flashing a smile as she did. For a moment, Noah fought the temptation to laugh at her, because, really? who has pink hair. But, deciding against his first reaction, Noah decided that a simple nod would suffice. He did so, and then looked away from her as quickly as possible, not wanting to attract the wrong sort of idea from her. A bit pompously, Noah looked down at his exposed chest once more and thought of buttoning up his shirt, not wanting to draw her in and then have to reject her and her hair alike. As the girl and her horse disappeared behind the large tree trunk of the apple tree, Noah spun Jack around and straightened them out so that they were facing away from the tree, and the girl. Jesus.

-ooc- Haha, sorry, he's a judgmental prick.
Take this where ever you'd like. (:

she does it like this well you do it like that.

Valkyrie patted Quincy's neck, not at all phased by his reaction. Just a nod. The usual. She was getting annoyed about guys and their stereotypes. Then again, she was a natural rebel to anything that made sense. She yawned, rolling her eyes when he turned away.

"Yeah yeah, think what you want, the freak with the pink hair, and the angel with the six-pack." She said sarcastically, mostly rudely, almost obnoxiously, and ticked off, for no reason. She put off anything else that would make trigger her, and flicked some dirt off her top, listening to Metro Station.

"Yes, I know, horribly to be around such annoying people, isn't it? She muttered quietly to her horse, loud enough for Noah to hear on purpose. She yawned, repositioning her sunglasses. Her pink hair was pulled back, long and straight, instead of wavy, and for once looked nice. TOo her, apparently. She swapped the songs, the ghost of a smile hovering on her pale and perfectly proportioned face.

She finally managed to get a lock of hair just right, bored to death, and having nothing to do. She twisted her fingers into her horse's mane, truly bored now, and sat sideways, thinking. She glared at the sun. Glare, glare, glare, glare. She yawned, almost forgetting she was bareback

[lol, it kinda sucks, doesn't it?]

NOAH `

A scoff escaped from the boy's pursed lips, having been able to easily disregard the girl's first comment, although the second time she spoke, her words took him a little bit by surprise. Noah knew that she had directed her comment towards him, even if she had played it off like she was simply speaking to her horse. There was no one else around to be talking about. Really? He thought with a frown, turning in his deep western saddle so that he could see the girl once more. His eyes moved up and down her figure, scowling at her from where his horse stood: a good fifteen feet away, at least. I'm annoying, am I? Says the girl with the uniform, conformity punk-rock chic appearance. Real original, dear.

"Excuse me," Noah spoke coldly, his eyes glaring, nearly squinted, and definately swiping the normally angelic and innocent appearance from his face. Noah was text-book good looking, and the fact that he knew that had gone to his head, forever feeding his ego. The girl with the pink hair, in Noah's own humble opinion, was farrrrr from good-looking, despite whatever book you're looking in. Beyond that, she was rude. Ruder than he was, which sometimes could be hard to accomplish; for she straight up verbally insulted him, when he had at least be kind enough to be polite upon her approach. "but if you intend to insult me," Noah spoke in a quiet tone, harsh all the same, and tainted with his rather thick accent, "then at least have the balls to do so to my face." Normally, Noah was not one to instigate anything, verbally or physically, with a girl, but for some reason this girl seemed to strike up a different side of him: one that was rarely seen.

And she's dancing alone on the disco
And she's dying alone on the disco

She watched him, an amused expression on her face. Now she wasn't bored. Her jeans were splattered on with paint, and so was her shirt, and she personally liked it. Listening to the boy, she instantly knew he was slightly vain, sharp, and probably thought she was annoying as hell. Pretty accurate guess, huh? She smirked, listneing to him drone on and on.

The balls to insult him in his face, huh? She grinned at the thought, for a second looking like the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, and clicked her tongue. She let Quincy walk up to the other horse. Enough to be close, but not to lclose that he would get spacey. "Say it to your face, huh?" She asked, her tone saying Dare me.

"Well, your annoying, stupid, hideous, and you smell rank. You ride western I'm disappointed." She spat, glaring at him. To her this was just a fight that three year olds had when they wanted to the toy fire-tuck, and she was slightly surprised by his strong reaction. A smile tugged at her lips, and she pushed it away.

NOAH `

"Catty much, wouldn't you say?" Noah replied with a rather cold expression still crossed over his expression. He sighed, feeling the burden of this bitch laid out upon his shoulders: just in time to ruin his great day. Great was not an exaggeration, either, for he had truly had a fantastic day. Feeling like that, exuberant and naturally happy, was not something very.. say, common, for Noah. He was used to getting high to find his pleasures, or to help lead him to his pleasures. Fuck bitches, Noah thought with a roll of his eyes.

You can be the bigger person by walking away right now, Noah, that small, subconscious voice in his head spoke up as a small silence filled the air after the girl's response. Noah found her words to have been very lame. Maybe it was based on the fact that, if he had said that to a guy, odds were that he would now be in a physical brawl with whatever pussy had failed to be a man and say something to his face. Noah was, you could say, not very accustomed to throwing insults back and forth like a catty little girl. Though, if he were to jump off his horse right now and beat the living shit out of the girl before him, he had a hunch that the dean of admissions would not be too excited over it. Just walk away. "Clearly an American," Noah whispered, with the intent of the pink-haired girl deciphering him. With a roll of his bright blue eyes, Noah pressed his rein against the side of Jack's neck and spun away from the incident.

and we can get away with this tonight.

She watched him roll his eyes. Catty? Far from it. "Annoying much, wouldn't you say?" She asked, starting to get tied and bored again. She stretched her longs legs slightly, yawning, till bored. She glared into mid-air, trying to remember something. To some, it appeared nothing pleased her, and that she was vain This was only slightly true.

"American?" She snorted at his comment. "Far from it. London darling, embrace it while you can." She said, pulling her lips back to show her teeth, and for a econd it apeared she was smiling until you saw how tinimidating and white her teeth were.

So weak, so funny. She watched him ride away, and for a second decided her reining on Quincy was soooooo much better. It was, it really was. She scratched Quincy's withers, bored as he turned away, looking tense and frustrated.

NOAH `

Noah drew a deep breath, growing frustrated. He continued to keep his horse moving forward, away from the girl whom he had just left underneath the apple tree. She had approached him, ruining his day. And even though it was hard to point a finger as to who was at fault for the small brawl in this situation, Noah would never accuse himself. She stepped into his space, made comments towards him, and ruined his peaceful afternoon.

Although, when Noah head that she, too, was from London, he stopped his horse with a jerk on his reins that was much harder than he had intended. Jack raised his large head, grinding his teeth against the metallic bit. Noah barely noticed his horse's reaction, for he had already turned his head to look back at the girl. "You may want to pull your head out of your ass then, because you sure are acting like one." By 'one', he obviously was referring to an obnoxious, very television American citizen. "You're a damn disgrace." Noah scoffed, running his hand up to brush his forehead once more.

Jack had spun in the direction that his rider had been looking, and then now where nearly lined up with the pink-haired girl and her own mount once more.

When you see my face
When you hear this song and sing along I hope it gives you
hell

Ugh, head out of her ass? Damn disgrace? She as officially offended. "And then I moved to New York." She continued, rolling her eyes. "At least I don't let things get to my head." She said, snorting[and a nice one, not gross] and rolling her eyes.

She barely noticed when Quincy pinned back his ears and snaked his head, un-happy at sensing but not seeing the horse in front of him. He immediately calmed down when she put her hand on his neck and murmured softly, something too soft and girlie for Noah or Jack to hear.

They stood perfectly still, like a status. And by they I meant Valkyrie and Quincy. She muffled a yawn with her hand and perfectly manicured nails, looking bored again as she looked around, wanting to jump off her horse and lay down, but she knew better than that.

NOAH `

"New York trash," Noah murmured to himself, too quietly for the girl to hear. Typical. Jack tilted his ear back, taking a step back, but ceasing his movement again as soon as Noah corrected it. For a moment, Noah had let his focus slide off of his horse and his riding and onto the girl and what she had said. Even if her words had gone a bit too far into his head, he would not admit that. Hell no.

Resisting the temptation to make a comment about her hair, Noah simply shot her a toothy smile. The boy had nice, straight teeth, like pearls. Although the smile faded off rather abruptly, and he looked at her once more with a very unamused, cold expression. "You just have me all figured out, don't you?" One brow rose up slightly, just slightly, and his fingers gently grasped the saddle horse absentmindedly. "Jumping to so many aimless conclusions about me. It's like you've known me your entire life." Noah smiled once more, but the coldness remained in his voice, "My mental state, my intelligence, my level of attraction on a scale of one to ten, and my personal hygiene." The last one, Noah had added in with heavy sarcasm, and he had cocked his head just the slightest as he said it. "You're too good." He praised her with a mocking tone, the smile disappearing from his face again.

We don't wanna hear the things we know they're gunna say

She listened closely to him, straining to hear, since she knew his lips were moving. That sucked. She inhaled sharply when he threw a fake smile at her, and she thought she had the freaky smile. She glared at him, trying not to lose control and shriek about. She sometimes had behavior problems.

She listened to his cold tone that matched hers. "My mental state[...],intelligence[...],attraction[...], and hygiene." If she felt like it, she would have cracked up, but she was starting to tire out, and didn't bother to. She finished counting the clouds in the sky.

"Oh, your finished?" She asked breezily, dismissing his sarcasm and attitude altogether, looking up. She wrinkled her nose in disgust. "Your level of attraction and hygiene is exactly 0.0, so, next time, try to keep a girl's vision, and keep your shirt buttoned." She said, her voice velvety and soft, and sounding even more mean and obnoxious, and in her case, almost dangerous.

NOAH `

A laugh fell from his lungs, but it was not a laugh induced by happiness or joy. Amusement, yes. The only laughter he would be able to create right now was cold. Sarcastic. He was not in the mood for real humor right now, only the kind that this foolish girl before her could produce. Noah thought of himself as a bit of a powerhouse, and was well-known as one anywhere that he had ever been schooled before. He had good connections with the best, and worst, people that a decent boarding school could come up with. The brutes, who could fuck you up physically, and the promiscuous drama queens, whom were the best at making your social life a living hell. Fucking with him usually was not something that people opted to set out and do, but then again.. this girl did not know him.

Noah chuckled once more, bent his head back, eyes examining the clouds above him, and fingers running through his messy blond hair. "You really are just something, aren't you." Noah spoke rather quietly, his voice emitting slowly, and just loud enough for her to hear. Even if she didn't hear him, who cares. "You can't back yourself up without feeble attempts to insult me, can you?" Noah smirked smugly, picking his reins up once more and nudging his patient horse forward a few steps in the girl's direction, "Well guess what, darling: your method is a weak one."

We're only one mistake from being together

She took the oppurtunity of islence to talk. "Wow, its just sunning, the way you seem to know everything bout me." A cold, harsh, laugh escaped from her lips. She glared into the distance, her blue eyes piercing as she continued. "You know my style, my taste, you probably know my social status, financial situation, and who I'm with." she commented dryly.

She heard him easily, as if he was speaking loudly. A grim smile spread."Yes, I'm a living freak show, aren't I?" Her eyes were amused, but the rest of her face wasn't, still annoyed and still angry. As he insulted her ego, a defensive growl came form her throat, and it took her a second to realize it was her growl. "Now now, your really just pathetic. I can insult you,but you have such a big ego you cant control it, can you?" She hissed, nudging Quincy a few steps up.

They were face to face now, and both looked angry. "Well well, I'm weak am I?" Her face twisted into a defensive sneer. "Well, I would challenge you to a fight, and have a chance of winning, but not with Quincy." Her expression softened for a second when she looked to her dear horse, only to harden back up when she looked back up again.

JACK `

Noah sneered as the girl stole his previous words, "Funny," a soft, cold chuckle fell from his lips, "because I believe that I just said all of that." Beneath him, the large horse shook his mane, which rippled and rolled like the ocean to which they were so near. Dark gray, along with ivory, strands fell nearly to the end of the horse's neck, for Noah had almost always let it grow out. He loved long manes on horses, it made even the weakest horse appear to be a bit more powerful. Jack was not weak, though, and the intrusion of the girl's horse within his own personal space causes him to react rather negatively. Emitting a deep bellow, the painted gelding half-reared onto his haunches, striking out in the other horse's direction as he did, ears flattened against his skull.

Noah checked his horse back, creating a gap between the two horses once again. Completely ignoring the girl for a few moments, Noah backed his horse in a straight line. Jack's hooves moved rapidly, and his head tucked down against his throat latch. "Calm down," he murmured to his horse, secretly envying the abruptness of the attack. How he longed to do the same himself. Finally, releasing the pressure on the horse's bit, Noah looked up at the girl, anger cascading over his expression. "You know what, you've certainly wasted enough of my time here today."

With that, the boy turned his horse and nudged him into a forward canter. Though, in his head, Noah had not lost. He had simply been above beating on a girl. Plus, his horse was losing his patience and mind, especially being that close to another unfamiliar horse. Heading towards the wood, Noah pushed his hand forward, asking for the speed necessary to keep him from turning around.
