The upbeat tempo of Cobra Starship created an atmosphere inside of the club that could only be described as chaos. Buoyant as the music, the patrons of the club all danced heatedly with each other. The main focus of the room was the rave located on the crammed dance floor. Darkness was all around them, with the exception of an array of strobe lights that flooded the club with a display of explosive color. Although, this chaos as exactly what Noah Stone needed to complete his night. Against a pillar in the back of the expansive, crowded room, a small white package was exchanged for three twenty dollar pills. Noah stood mostly in the pillar's shadow, wearing a simple dark wash straight legged jean, and a pair of black and gold Creative Recreation high tops. On his chest was a light gray tee, and around his neck he loosely wrapped a very simple, darker gray scarf. His blond hair was shaped in to a slight frohawk, just as it always was. Taking a small glance around him, Noah made a discrete nod at the man whom he had just dealt to, and swept away from the scene nonchalantly without another word.
Noah had pocketed the bills by the time he reached the swarming bar, where he quickly found a vacant stool and perched himself upon it. An extremely attractive bartender approached him, and in between their flirtatious small talk, Noah managed to order a single Yager bomb. Within the span of thirty seconds, she delivered his drink and went along her way without much more conversing. Bartenders sure do know how to make their tips, he thought to himself, watching the woman work a few stools down from his own. Although, his mind was soon drawn back to what had been set in front of him. Cheers, Noah thought briefly as he dropped the shot of liquor in to his glass, proceeding to chug the contents without hesitation. "Ah," he spoke through his teeth quietly, feeling the burn of the alcohol in his throat.
Hopefully, this night would be a good one.

you know the downtown .CLUB SCENE. ain't nothing like it used to be
Lights. Music. People. Alcohol. Loud. Stop. It didn't take Chaos long to remember exactly why she couldn't stand clubs. The place was nearly the exact opposite of where she would usually hang out, containing all or most of the things she hated. But Chaos liked to do something completely out of the ordinary every once in a while. To avoid becoming too predictable. Gotta keep people on their toes. Chaos scanned through the crowds, half looking for someone she knew, half hoping she wouldn't find anyone. After a minute, she gave up and made her way to the bar, sliding quickly between people. She was nearly invisible amongst the crowds, blending in with her typical all black attire. Her silver studded belt was the lone beacon of shiny-ness that identified her as a person, rather than just a random shadow.
Finally Chaos emerged from the crazy crowd, and found an empty seat at the bar. The bartender came over after a moment, and Chaos briefly considered her options before simply shaking her head. Alcohol had never been her thing. The bartender gave her an annoyed look and moved on to someone else. Chaos sighed softly, once again wondering why she was here. Note to self: Next time you want to do something unusual... don't.

NOAH STONE `
Rather rapidly, five fingers tapped continuously on the surface of the grunge, metal counter top anxiously. Noah had been watching his fingers move, up and then down, followed by a faint tap as each made contact with the hard surface, for a few short minutes; although, they felt like an eternity to him. Now glancing up, Noah began to observe all that there was around him, and as he did, his fingers ceased their antics. Across the way, the boy's hungry eyes stared as the exotic body of a dancing girl flowed with the music. Noah made a quick mental note that if he were ever to design dresses, he would make them much more scandalous. It's a crime for her to be covering that up, Noah thought to himself, eyes remaining on the movement of her chest. He couldn't really help himself, so blame what hung between his legs, and the alcohol, if you insist.
Although, with the passing of a few more seconds, the girl was swept away by a body-builder-type whom she clung too very affectionately. Obviously, all hope of making any sort of move on that particular girl vanished. Not to say that his mind did not continue to wander after she had left his line of vision, but simply that he was not exactly in the mood to be beaten on. Feeling the effects of the alcohol and the Red Bull within his blood stream, Noah took a deep breath in. Cigarettes, sugar, and the faint scent of a delicious perfume. Turning his head, Noah was intruded to know just exactly where the scene came from. Viola. The girl that sat beside him at the bar was not exactly Noah's "type", but that did not stop him from checking her out. He glanced slyly at the fragments of her body that he could obtain, and then directed his eyes towards her own, porcelain face. Leaning in towards her, he placed his lips just mere inches away from her ear, then whispered: "Can I buy you a drink?" in a deep, husky voice that nearly obscured his light British accent.

you get mixed up with the .WRONG GUYS. you get messed up on the .WRONG DRUGS.
One moment she was just sitting there, minding her own business, and then suddenly there's a person, very, very close. Not cool. Chaos fought off her first instinct, which was to hit him, even though he didn't actually do anything deserving of being hit. That was pretty much always her first reaction to people who appear out of nowhere. Or just generally people who annoy her. After a moment of complete frozenness, she managed to get her brain to function properly again. She slid as far away as she could without standing up, and then turned slightly to survey the person who had spoken. First of all, there was no way in hell he was twenty-one. Also, he looked sort of familiar, and since the only place she really hung out around here was the school, that meant he was probably also a student. So definitely not legal for him to be there. Of course, she wasn't supposed to be either, so it didn't make much difference.
Chaos smirked slightly, finally responding to his question. "I don't drink." She paused for a moment and then added "And I'm definitely not interested." Chaos waited for a moment, to see what he would do, but then realized how stupid she must sound, and decided it required some sort of explanation, pitiful as it would be. "So, you may be wondering what exactly it is I'm doing here if not getting drunk, or hooking up with random strangers, to which I respond, I have no idea. Or you may not care at all, in which case, I probably sound extremely stupid by now." Talking to people had never been Chaos's strong suit. Way to sound like an idiot. She went back to staring at the counter, and debating whether to stay or go.
((So I just assumed Noah was talking to Chaos. Hope that's right/ok. And sorry for the terribleness of my post.))

Noah was much more clever than most gave him credit for. Yes, he may not rake in the best marks in school, but that surely didn't rule out intelligence in him. Truth is, Noah would much rather spend his time doing things that he enjoyed: riding horses, hanging out with pretty girls, smoking weed, than going to school. But, of course, obligated by the force of his father's determination and will: here he was, struggling on. Yeah, maybe Noah did sometimes take advantage of what was handed to him, for many other people would die to live in his shoes, but in all honesty, he very rarely thought of it that way. Multiple private schools all over London and now the United States, with their incredibly expensive yearly tuitions, well... public school had just never been in his equation.
A smug smirk tugged at his lips, and a small light flashed in the boy's oceanic eyes. The girl whom he had offered a drink sure did jump to conclusions. Noah could not remember saying that he wanted to intoxicate her so that he would be able to have wild, drunken sex with her. Although, many girls often lead to this conclusion, and often enough, Noah was just as willing to follow through with the act as they were. Spare a few bucks, buy a few drinks, get laid. In all honesty, guys who often played the same cards as Noah did were criticized as players, or even womanizers, but when it all came down to it, the girls whom Noah took home were very willing companions. He surely didn't force them to smile, flirt, and drink the drinks he offered to pay for.
Undoubtedly, though, the words that the girl had strung together were what you could call "fuel to the fire" of Noah's ego. The boy drew back into his own territory, giving the girl her necessary space to regain an expression that would appear as comfortable. Right now, she looked pretty nervous. Noah observed her as she spoke, and even though his vision was slightly delayed thanks to Mr. Liquor, the boy was able to determine that she was indeed not a picture of his normal hook-up. Not that he had only offered her a drink in order to take her home, no. He was just bored, and entertainment came in many different shapes and sizes. Noah had noticed that she, like himself, was definately underage. Unknowing of if she knew his own age, Noah could only feel as if he had a slight advantage in this conversation.
Unnerved, and still smiling smugly, the boy retaliated, "Whoa, baby, I never said anything about taking you home. Your side of the bar just looked a little lonely, that's all." Noah gestured to the empty space in front of her on the bar, "But if you don't drink, you don't drink. I guess that people like you really do exist in a place like this." Noah felt a temptation to reach out and brush his finger tips against the back of her hand, but was not sure if he cared about the consequences or not. Without much more hesitation, Noah followed through with his thought. Obviously, he didn't care.
-ooc- Oh wow, sorry, I didn't mean to write that much! It just sort of just kept spilling out. x| And yes, he was talking to her.

they keep getting.YOUNGER.don't they baby
As if she hadn't sounded ridiculous enough already, rambling on about nothing, the boy's words definitely did not help the matter. Chaos did tend to immediately assume the worst of people, but she still didn't particularly enjoy being told she was jumping to conclusions. And despite what he said, she couldn't help being a little skeptical anyway. But Chaos let the subject drop for the moment, and resolved in the future to think before speaking. Like that was going to happen. But it was a nice thought, anyway. "Right. Well, whatever."
Chaos was brought back to reality by his touch. She jerked her hand back automatically, and her expression hardened into a mild glare. After a moment, though, she relaxed, just a little bit, and decided to ignore his action. She was quiet for a moment, thinking. Finally she decided it might be a good idea to find out some basic information. She asked the first thing she thought. "So, how old are you, anyway?" So maybe most people would have at least asked his name first, but honestly, she didn't care much about that. Age seemed more important.

As the girl recoiled from his touch, Noah glanced down and smiled softly. In a way, he was rather amused by the fact that she would not allow him to become any closer to her than he was right now. No leaning in, no touching, no nothing, it seemed. She has got to be underage, Noah thought to himself pensively, his eyes flickering across his porcelain face as he thought. The way that the girl acted gave Noah the impression that she was a tad bit intimidated by him, and the age that he faked. Hell, any teenage girl in their right mind should be intimidated by a seemingly of-age man in a bar. Noah could really care less what she thought of him, rather it be that she thought he was a pig, a player, or whatever it may be.. he was enjoying himself, in a somewhat twisted way, by playing with her emotions. Or, at least, attempting to. Who knew if he was succeeding. At least, Noah assumed that he had gained some success simply by the way that she reacted to him.
As the girl questioned his age, Noah answered without delay, a very well played out act, one that he had used many times before, "Today is my twenty second birthday, actually." He resisted asking her to help him celebrate, feeling as though he would save his A Game for later in the evening, if, that is, she hung around.

sometimes the.PARTY.takes you places that you didn't really plan on going
Chaos considered his age for a moment. He could probably pass for twenty-two, but the fact that he said it was his birthday seemed a little suspicious to her. Of course, it could be true, and she really had no basis to question it, other than a tendency to assume people would lie to her. And she had no reason to believe that if she asked him again he would answer any differently. So she decided to accept it as truth. For now. And of course, that changed everything. If he was indeed nearly five years older than her, that gave her even more reason to be skeptical of his motives in talking to her. She wasn't sure how old he thought she was, and she thought about asking, but she wasn't really sure she wanted to hear the answer. If he had figured out that she was underage, that made it way worse. She wasn't terribly inclined to carry on a conversation with some perv who liked fucking minors. Although, he did claim that was not his intentions in talking to her. Still, it was better to be careful in this situation, she figured.
"Oh, really? Fascinating." She made no attempt to hide the sarcasm in her voice that made it clear she was not particularly fascinated. Despite her decision to accept the age he told her, she still felt it was necessary to make clear at least a little of her skepticism. "And this is what you do to celebrate? Seems like there's a lot more interesting ways to spend you birthday."

"Don't stress yourself, I deciphered the congratulatory tone in your voice," although Noah's tone of voice seemed a bit harsh, he was using sarcasm as well. Hopefully the girl would be able to separate the two. Noah held faith in her ability to do so, considering what he had responded to in the first place. Hell, her own voice had been laced with sarcasm, of which was probably meant with a nastier intention than his own. For Noah was a predictably cheery drunk: simply hand him a glass of liquor, maybe two, and in a few minutes you're set for a fine time. Noah flashed the girl a small, toothy smile as she questioned why he here. The truth was, that even if Noah was of legal drinking age in the United States, he would most likely spend his time at a bar anyway in celebration. The boy enjoyed alcohol: it very rarely let him down.
"Why not?" he questioned the unnamed female across from him, "My mates are great, yes, but none of them could help me celebrate a landmark birthday as well as a pretty lady such as yourself." As Noah spoke of his best mates back in the United Kingdom, for he had nothing but mere acquiescences here in the States just yet, a sudden thought fought hard to create a smile across his face. For in fact, what he had just split to the girl was false. Actually, one of his best mates back in London had also been someone that Noah had encountered a small romance with. If you can really call what they had a romance, that is. It was more of a lustful, experimental relationship. Ahh, yes, Joseph would never be forgotten. As for the girl which Noah was currently sitting with: he had officially crossed the line, and inside, he was thoroughly enjoying the joke.

she's not waiting for someone to come over and.ASK.for the privilege
Chaos rolled her eyes. "I believe I've already mentioned that I'm not interested. And if I don't anticipate changing my mind any time soon. So if that's what you're here for, you can give it up and find someone else." Chaos hoped that she had made it clear enough for him this time. She decided that if she had to say it again, it was probably time to leave. Actually, it had probably been time to leave for quite a while, but she didn't really want to. In an odd way, she was almost enjoying talking to this guy. As much as she ever enjoyed talking to people. It was certainly more interesting than sitting in her room doing nothing.
Chaos attempted to steer the conversation in a different direction. "So I'm guessing you're not from around here." At first she hadn't really noticed an accent. She hadn't really paid much attention. But eventually she started to notice it more, and then he said 'mates' and that was definitely not something people said terribly often. "England?" she guessed.

Smug and content, the boy ran his fingers swiftly through the roots of his blond hair, then sighed, "Oh, well isn't rejection just painful." Noah kept his voice low, and the tone within it could be classified as both witty and sarcastic. Exasperating a sigh, Noah spun away from the remainingly anonymous girl to face the counter top once again. His slender fingers reached within the empty glass which remained set before him, fishing from it's shallow depths the thick shot glass. Absentmindedly, he flipped the chilled glass over, resting rim down on the counter. Glancing up from his handy work, Noah was quickly able to obtain a bartender's gaze; and he motioned with his pointer finger that he would like another drink.
When the somewhat familiar female voice registered in his ear once again, Noah could not help but smirk, eyes focused down on the drink which had been placed in front of him merely seconds before hand. And yet she continues to talk, the teen thought with a soft chuckle that barely shook his chest. Glancing over at the girl, Noah raised a brow, "And this is what you do to men at bars after you reject them? Ask of their heritage?" Without looking away from her, although his gaze had slipped from her face and onto her chest for a brief moment, Noah dropped the brimming shot glass into the contents of his second glass. Eyes now drawn back to the combined drink, fingers wrapping around it's cold exterior, Noah brought the glass to his lips and poured it's contents down his eager throat in one take. "You're a very accurate judge, though," Noah commented through his teeth, keeping his gaze away from the girl now.

this night is gonna end when we're.DAMN WELL READY.for it to be over
Chaos did not miss the sarcasm with which he answered her. And that was that. He was apparently taking her advice, and moving on. For a moment, she was kind of annoyed. But she realized she was stupid to have expected anything else. She probably should have left a long time ago, anyway. Chaos had always found that hanging out with drunk people is only fun when she was also drunk. Which she wasn't, and didn't plan to be.
Apparently asking questions had not been a very good idea, either. "If that's your way of telling me to go away, hint taken. I hope you have better luck with someone else." Chaos turned away and sat staring at the counter for a minute. Despite her decision that it was time to leave, she couldn't bring herself to push her way back through the crowd just yet. But about the time she began to entertain ideas of breaking her no drinking rule, she knew she had waited long enough. With one last look at the annoying anonymous British guy she'd been talkign to, she stood up and turned around to look for the quickest path to the door. Well, this night was a bust.

Contentment swept away the smirk from Noah's dull lips. For a second or so, he restrained himself from making a comment at the girl about the fact that it had been she who had initiated the coldness. Well, not technically, he thought with a faint sigh. The girl had never been cold to him, which was probably more than he deserved in the current situation; but instead, she had just been very foretelling of how the night was going to go. No, hands off, alcohol at a distance, don't take me home.
As the girl beside him stood up from her stool, Noah drug quickly spun his finger tip around the rim of his damp glass. "I appreciate the moral support," Noah finally chimed in, although keeping his back to her without avail. "You be sure to have a fair and decently sober night, too, alright?" Vision now spinning, Noah tilted his head back and shot the girl a small smile. You're such a drunk, Noah thought to himself. Leaving was her choice, and he had most likely driven her to it. Chasing after her would probably not be the best choice given his intake of the liquid goods tonight, and he came to the conclusion that she, as a girl he had no sexual interest in, was not worth the stumbling.
