The Abel School was opened in 1938, and ever since then has remained the premier equestrian boarding school on the East Coast. At Abel, everyone is first treated as an equestrian, and secondly as a student.
Students love the equestrian facility, along with what it offers them. Elite project horses are assigned to meet each rider's individual preferences, and any discipline can be ridden at TAS. Not only is Abel proud of it's wide diversity of equestrian athletes, but also of the talent and diversity of our students, who come from all over the world!

Arthur strolled into the starbucks. He had no reason to be there, other than his parents had (finally) put some money through in his account. Which was good, considering Arthur hadn't be caught doing anything naughty, which meant he hadn't done anything naughty. He wandered over to the counter, ordered a heated scone (with some butter) and a cappuccino. Some coffee would elevate his mood a bit more. He had a good ride before, and after a shower and some serious grooming, he was feeling pretty fly. For a white guy.
Arthur was wearing a pair of black jeans, that were semi tight. A loose light blue shirt with the words; 'I'm not just a guy, I'm THE guy' written in black bold on a diagonal down the front. It repeated itself in large letters, making a pattern. He liked the shirt. Made him feel cool. Arthur then wandered away from the counter, taking a sunny seat where he fell down into the cushioned goodness. It was a nice place to sit. The sun warming the back of his head. The cafe was almost empty, but he was right in the way if someone spilled their drink. Which no one would, because it would make Arthur angry. Not a nice guy when he's angry is Arthur. Someone might also take the seat opposite him. Someone from school maybe. He would like a conversation around about now, as he waited for his food too arrive. I C O N S ' '

I’m okay I promise I’m not okay
THE MUSIC ON VALKYRIE’S IPOD WAS RATHER LOUD EVEN though she had her headphones. Baby you got the speed, now shut up and drive. Sang Rihanna to nobody in particular-except for Valkyrie of course. She looked funny in the coffee shop, wearing her black halter top, leggings that ended under hew knees and were slightly ripped, and black mini-skirt. Her big golden hoop earrings were hidden by her bright pink hair. Now everyone looked annoyed. Of course she would do the most predictable thing, get stuck behind someone slow and tap her nails on the counter constantly.
SHE WAS PREDICTABLE, INDEED STUCK AND TAPPING HER fingers on the wooden counter top, sighing and looking at her wristwatch like a very busy person. Really, she was just eager to find something to do before seeing her dear horse. The music played until it ended, and moved onto I’m Not Okay by My Chemical Romance. Being the person she was in the small crowded shop, she took off her headphones and held them out, making it so loud that everyone in the whole store could hear Gerard Way yelling.
”MISS, IS THAT REALLY, REALLY, NECESSARY” A WORKER ASKED, only getting a charming grin and a flash of perfectly white teeth. “Yes, it is 100 percent, absolutely, positively, necessary.” Valkyrie said, nodding continuously as if that made it true. She stopped now. Her white frames that held the dark shades together was perched high up on her head. “Isn’t it a lovely day?” She asked, turning to her next victim-a loopy looking guy that stared at her like she was a ghost. “Oh, yes, the sun is shining, the birds are chirping…” She trailed off, smiling charmingly again as she answered her own question.

It wasn't as if Arthur found this new person inssufferable, but as his coffee and food was delivered by a scowling waitress, He looked up, and smiled sympatheticly. Poor workers must get this all the time. He took a sip of his coffee, decided it was far to hot and put it back on the saucer. Then, he called out to the disruptive girl; Who do you think you are? His tone was slightly aggressive. Once more he ahd been bukced off by Naples, and was sporting a a rather sore rib, and dented ego. This wasn't a good combanation with a loud person while he was trying to relax.

”GOD, WELL WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? HUH?” Valkyrie said irritably as she stirred her coffee, now standing in front of the guy only a couple years older than her. She shifted her weight and turned her music down only somewhat so she could hear him and likewise. She copied his tone, wanting to say more but biting her words back. Unless, that is, unless if he is one of those guys who is so obnoxious he hates when girls don’t always say everything. He seemed like that kinda guy. Hm.
”MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS, I’M FINE. DON’T GET YOUR knickers in a twist.” She said, rolling her eyes. God she loved being obnoxious today. Quincy would probably buck her off and bolt. She sniffed, taking a sip of her coffee as a guy nextdoor threatened to whack her in the leg. “Love you too.” She said sweetly, turning to smile at him. Oh, the ways she was when she was in a…good…mood.
FEELING THE NEED TO CONTINUE HER OBNOXIOUS
ranting, she bit back, protesting the big voice inside of her. Suddenly she snapped two perfectly manicured fingers-that’s it! The lion and the lamb…kinda like in Twilight! OH EM JEE! She loved writing poetry, some would say she was kind of an “artist” but she disagreed. She grabbed a napkin and ignored the old gum wrapped up in it and started to jot down, sitting down now, but keeping her space from the irritable someone. “Well, I’m Valkyrie. Betch.” She added. She loved saying that. Most people though she was calling them a betch, but it was her middle name. She hoped he would make a racket like a little kid about this.

Was this girl always so.. rude? He buttered his food with his knife, frowning down at it as if daring it to react. His coffee would still be too hot, so he left it alone. Maybe the best way to lose the girl's interest would be to ignore her. Arthur looked up at the man who had threatened her, and made a face which screamed shut-the-fuck-up. Then, after he thought he had told the guy to back off, he cut a bite sized bit of scone off the edge, and ate it. He didn't like the girl, oh no, she was much too loud. But he detested violence against women. Besides, she wasn't his type, and he would refuse to believe she was. The food tasted good, it made him feel a bit better, only to have his mood sliced in half.
She had decided to sit at his table. Arthur shifted away from her slightly and cut another piece off his scone. It too went in his mouth. Thats nice dear. he told her condescendingly and continued to cut his food up. Just for something to do. His coffee would still be too hot to drink, so he tried to relax by sitting back and clasping his hands on his lap, looking out of the window. By ignoring her, he hoped she would go away.

HIS NORMAL REACTION DISAPPOINTED VALKYRIE TERRIBLY, its nice? Oh, that’s just plain sad. She considered saying so and bit back, taking a sip of her coffee. Wow, he defended her. She didn’t think that would happen long. He hit her once she hit him twice. On and on, until he cracked a rib. She definitely knew how to throw punches. No one sane would ever consider giving her knuckledusters. Well, enough about vioelence-letss talk about…bunnies!
[size=1]THE PERMANANENT IMAGE OF A PINK AND FLUFFY CARTOON stuck in her mind as she leaned against the couch, looking all-too-bored-and-slightly-amused, her eyebrows up slightly on her pale skin, making a eerie yet pretty effect. He matched her in attitude. Shocking. She stuffed the napkin back into her pocket. Memorizing what she’d written.
Got a problem with me??? solve it.
Think I’m trippin??? tie my shoes.
can’t stand me??? sit down.
can’t face me??? turn the f*** around.
The words sang in her head now as she clenched her coffee, finally realzing she wasn’t on a spooking Quincy she relaxed again, yawning like she had been listening to him complain all day. Well, eh hated her. Wow, what a big shock. “If your sick of my and snobbiness, tell me and we might leave.” She said, considering reciting her poem outloud.

Arthur looked up in mild surprise. Meeting her gaze with one of complete contentness. Do as you please. Its not my place to tell you what to do. Arthur didn't even have a sour sound in his voice. He was a bit upset when he hit her, and lept to his feet. But then sat down once more, because it was obvious that she could handle herself. Then, he got tired of all the idiotic conversation. Look, You can stay, you can go. But, can you calm down and be civil? he almost added a rather sour sentence, but didn't, and managed to keep his face perfectly calm.
Arthur took another bite of his food. It was really, really good, and he would have to order another one sooner of later. Maybe a gesture would be alright, but he figured he ought totalk to the waitres. Who was unhappy he was conversing with the loud girl. Valkyrie. Thats what her name was. Arthur smiled a bit at his coffee as he brought it up to his lips. A nice name. Reminded him of Dracula though.

HIS WORDS WEREN’T SURPRISING, WHEN SHE WAS IN the mood for it she was really quite annoying, like a bug. She shuddered at this comparison, noticing out of the corner of her eyes he jumped up the guy reached around and kicked her in her shin. He was wearing sandals and she was wearing sandals. Whose feet were better at kicking? Hers. She smirked slightly, taking a sip of her coffee.
”MAYBE I’LL STAY. THE ONLY OTHER THING TO DO IS TO GO SEE my crazy horse.” She said, using the term ‘crazy’ affectionately. Of course she loved her horse. She smiled to herself again, thinking, She listened to him sigh an exaggerated sigh. “Now which is it-am I giving you a whiplash or vice versa?” She asked, sighing kinda like he did. She didn’t mind pi**ing people off as long as she didn’t get killed. She was guessing his patience was running out. “Civilized, you say?” She asked, her words now a low hum through barely moving lips. “Sure, I’ll be civilized. Wear a ballgown, corset, heels, curl my hair…” She trailed off.

Arthur thought about what she had said, and then, decided she was bi=polar, and was being so fucking annoying because he didn't really know what else to do. So you do board at Able then. he thought he had seen her around somewhere, but wasn't sure if it had been her. Then again, how many bright pink haired girls were there in this world? He smiled at her a bit, the took another sip of his coffee. Now, he was being pleasent. At least she was calmer now.
He rolled his eyes, in a kind fashion. Although it was a joke No, that wasn't what he meant had meant when he said civil. He meant normal. Human. Maybe the girl was a vapmire after all. Arthur shurrged blandly. Sure, why not? It was hardly a question, but his inflection said otherwise. Grinning at his drink, and the crumbs of his food, he thought about getting some more. But no, leave it until it felt like the right time to get it. You know what? I would have never thought you were from Abel. Get in on a scholarship? He wasn't being rude when he asked, he was curious

HE WASN’T TOO BAD-CONSIDERING HE WASN’T ACTING TOO ANNOYED YET and she took that as a…better sign. He smiled and she didn’t let it pass. Probably decided she was a freak. Oh, so he went to Abel’s too? “Well, I’m on campus right now…aren’t I?” She asked, pretending to be confused. She planned on going to an art academy or horse academy for college too.
HE NEVER WOULDGUESS SHE WENT TO ABEL’S? HOW INSILTING She made a tsk tsk sound. “Actually, this is…my, second or third year here, FYI.” She said, rolling her eyes as she sat on the big arm of the wine colored couch, looking completely content and eerily still.
”NO, I AM NOT ON A SCHOLARSHIP. YOU PROBABLY DON’T KNOW MY MOM’S barn, its in New Jersey. Near my step-dad’s farm.” She said matter-of-factly. Ger tone was disapproving yet casual and not too insulting all at the same time as she flicked invisible dirt and dust off her spot of the couch, looking ghostly in the dim light.
(Sorry, I had to add the last part cause of Arthur )

Arthur just shurrged. Sure, whatever. He didn't know where the gosh-darn he was most of the time. He smiled at his drink, and sipped it a bit more. He could have grimanced at the sound she made. He was not, a child. And would not be told off my her. He gritted his teeth, and stared into the murky coffee waters. He was not in the mood to be childed,
He didn't even react to what she had said. New Jersy? What was that? Out in the wop-wops. A place of farms, sheep and idiots. Arthur was from the big NY, and loved it. He didn't want to be any where near a hill billy. He smirked for a second, then didn't speak. She was in no way keeping the conversation going, so why should he?

HE WAS GETTING ON HER NERVES PROBABLY AS MUCH AS SHE WAS GETTING ON HIS and no on encouraged them to talk. She didn’t feel like talking, her voice was tired. She’d been an elective mute when she was little, and since then she couldn’t talk for very long whenever it was morning time. Such a bad president. She took a sip of hr nearly done coffee, stirring something in it.
NO, SHE WASN’T STUPID NOR CRAZY, BUT SHE HATED BEING SOCIAL sometimes. This was one of those time. God, was this what most normal people were like-anti-social? Heck, the guy who hit her actually said hi. She yawned, briefly remembering something. She flipped her phone open and looked at the time, tucking a lock of hair behind her pierced ear.

Arthur frowned at his drink. He drained the cup, set it down and stood up. It was nice meetin gyou Dracula, but I'm leaving. He told her. Taking his plate to the counter, he said thatnks to the waitress, and breifly thought about asking for her number, but didn't. He walked toward the door, and pushed open. The conversation he had had today was minimal, and crap. He would be off to find.. Meghan perhaps? Maybe just one of his friends. He didn't know. He had resovled to call Valkyre Dracula. Because, he was mean like that.
