The Abel School was opened in 1938, and ever since then has remained the premier equestrian boarding school on the East Coast. At Abel, everyone is first treated as an equestrian, and secondly as a student.

Students love the equestrian facility, along with what it offers them. Elite project horses are assigned to meet each rider's individual preferences, and any discipline can be ridden at TAS. Not only is Abel proud of it's wide diversity of equestrian athletes, but also of the talent and diversity of our students, who come from all over the world!

Sit Down And Think About The Day Your Gonna Die...

Reserved.

Footsteps make silent noise on the brick and straw scatted ground. Breathing soft and shallow but still present. Alone. No one around. The way she liked it. No one to distract her. She'd so far managed to avoid everyone since arriving. At least she would be safe here. Safe in the way that she wouldn't have to see her Auntie again. Unsafe because this place brought a whole different set of problems and pain. Inhaling the pleasant and relaxing sent that filling the area, getting into every corner and spreading around like pure joy. However, joy was not in the heart of the young vix who had so silently and stealthily entered the building undetected. She could practically make herself invisible. No one noticed her. No one cared about her. No one had noticed her after she had run away from her Auntie's. There she had lived free with the other rejects of society. God, she would give anything to be back with them. Then she had to endure six months of pure agony for a crime she had committed but had know knowledge or understanding off. Sure, she knew what had happened, but she didn't remember it. Or doing it.

Silently, quietly, smoothly, calmly. She had mastered everything, so this proved no challenge. And being no one around, it didn't matter if she had rolled down the path, no one would have noticed. Except maybe the horses in the stalls on either side of her. Eyes closed, she walked forwards. Drawn by something she couldn't see, smell, touch or taste. Hand stretched out, she made contact with a horse. She had been drawn to the horse for its sheer power, strength, and personality. She had no idea if it was even a ridable horse. But that didn't matter. The strength and everything else that had connected her with this horse was kept deep inside. Like her own abilities. This was probably a reason why the two had connected like super glue and fingers. She didn't open her eyes. Not wanting to ruin what they had. Not wanting to see the horse in front of her. Trying to prove looks didn't matter. To her, they did. She was contently picking out the good looking people. The thin people. And although she was definitely good looking, and thin, maybe a little too thin, she didn't believe it.

Valkyrie cursed quietly as she groomed her hose. He stuck his head out and whinnied, stomping, kicking, objecting to being tied up. She sapped his neck so hard her hand stung, and immediately he listened. She was tired of the busy boarders barn and had come to groom him in the nice, quiet, and almost empty schooling barn. She rolled her eyes as she finished currying the light bay giving him a scratch on the shoulder. She listened to her music, looking up only briefly to see another girl. The girl was freaky, and she was petting Quincy, who was behaving patiently. Mystified and annoyed, Valkyrie turned back to brushing her horse. "Hi. Planning on opening your eyes?" She asked, grooming a sore spot and making Quincy snort, stomp his hoof, and throw his head around like a maniac.

Having been so distracted by the horse in front of her, the horse she could hear, smell, and touch but not see, she hadn't noticed anyone approaching or anyone already in the horses stall. Her eyes flew open and immediately resting on the girl in front of her, to the side of the horse. The horse seemed sensitive to the girls feelings and instantly picked up on her feelings and instantly becoming as nerves as the girl. She shifted slightly from foot to foot, body tense, ready to run. Or to fight. Either way, she was willing to defend herself. It was obverse that this girl with the horse, if it did come down to a physical fight, would easily be able to over power her without a lot of effort. She was strong, like most people who rode horses everyday. Bonnie, however, was small and extremely underweight. She was light too, only about 38kgs, which meant, if this girl could do up a horses girth easily, and move horse feed, she'd be able to lift Bonnie very easily. None of this came to mind though. She'd always fought hard, but it had never been enough. Although every time she made contact with the other, it would most likely cause bruising, restraining the girl was easy because of her light weight, and, more to the point, her fear of being held, being touched. That would cause her to panic. Although she'd try to get free, try to hurt, she was less likely to make contact because of the blind fear.

Her eyes were glued to the girl in the stall of the pretty bay horse she had so fondly got to know. Brown eyes, so long ago drained of emotion. Her pale face blank like a piece of canvas. Her complection surrounded by dull her, stripped of nutrition. Her overall appearance was somewhat ghost like. Although before she had been arrested she still had emotions other than fear and depression, could still show emotion, once in that terrible, dark place, everything was taken from her. Physically and mentally. Her spirit had been broken, like a wild horse forced to obey or they would suffer severe pain. Although it was illegal to hurt the young girls, no one cared about them. They were beaten, raped, and anything else the guards, and other prisoners for that matter, could dream up. Bonnie, being a pretty girl, despite the effects of her eating disorder, was a favorite to everyone. She had already learnt not to trust before, but now, her trust had faded to the deepest, murkiest depths of her physical being, unable to be retrieved.

your lips tremble but your eyes are in a street stare.

Valkyrie watched the girl curiously. Did she have some kind of problem? She rolled her eyes and turned back to Quincy, brushing him slowly as the girl still stood there, staring. She wondered what the girl was thinking, and for a second wanted to call the cops and shriek like any girl would. She turned back to her horse, ignoring the girl's eyes drilling into her back. She thought about ti and finally settled on trying to small talk.

"I'm Valkyrie." She said, without any greeting. Her voice was normal to her, cool and reserved. She remembered some song lyrics that blinked obnoxiously in her head, and with a dismissive shake of her head they were swept away into her darkest memories, and she was already focusing on saddling her horse. She listened closely, straining to hear something form this girl, but she showed signs of paying attention, hating showing emotion.

For some reason she looked down to her jeans, artistically decorated in splotches of blues, yellows, pinks, and greens on the dark blue. Her shirt was a white long shirt, reaching to below her waist, decorated in pink, orange, and red. There were flowers, spots, hearts, and random splotches. They made her feel...unique. Her hat was simple, just a black baseball cap.

Staying silent, she was unsure of what the outcome would be. She was ready to run if it turned bad. Or fight, if that was the way it had to be. Every muscle in her body was tense. Her weight shifting from foot to foot. Being a warm day, she was wearing only a t-shirt and jeans. The jeans were lose, even though a small size and not made to be. They had used to fit her. Her t-shirt, as well, was lose. However, it didn't cover her lower arms, which were bare and extremely thin. So thin you could almost see the bones. Her jeans were black, her t-shirt brown, and her hair falling around her face. Her eyes, staring, but blank of all emotion and glazed, followed the girls every movement, taking in everything. Her senses took in everything. Not just the girl, but everything that was going on around her. Her body quivered with tension, not fear, but something else. It was like being back on the street, where she wanted to be. Then she'd had others, now it was just her. Someone sees you, asks a question, you wait. Are they going to help you, or are they going to hurt you? Run or fight? Her instincts came back to her. Bonnie was a fighter normally, but if the others told her to run, she would, without question. Now, she was on her own, she didn't know which she would do. She stayed silent. She hadn't spoken a word for over 6 months. She had changed so much, withdrawn so far into herself that she couldn't even talk anymore. At least she was walking around, she never had the energy to do that before. No one believed she would ever get back to how she used to be. Not even herself.
